What is World Class Boxing Academy?
Our focus
WCBA is boxing coaching inside World Class under the guidance of Hnefaleikafélag Reykjavíkur, the largest boxing club in Iceland, with a long and successful history in the sport. The club has produced many Icelandic national and cup champions, as well as many medallists at international competitions.
Every class and course at WCBA is led by coaches with decades of experience or competitors at the highest level of the sport in Iceland. The head coach at WCBA is Davíð Rúnar Bjarnason, who has close to two decades of boxing experience and has been around the world as both a competitor and a coach.
Coaching follows a thorough, well-proven discipline system that has worked very well for our coaches in recent years and delivered strong results. The aim is a strong mix of shaping good boxers while building strong individuals. Safety comes first, and everything in training is done under close supervision.
There is a wide range of courses: Kids' boxing ages 8–11, Teen boxing ages 12–16, Fitness boxing, adult continuation and much more on the way. Beginner courses run regularly and are announced each time.

Four ways in: for adult beginners, teens, kids and anyone who wants to mix conditioning with boxing.
17 and over
Intro course
Technical foundations based on the WCBA Diploma system. Safety first, and correct execution of the key elements of boxing. No experience needed.

Teen boxing 12–16
Technique, discipline and social training for teens taking their first steps or continuing after the intro course.
