What is Dansstúdíó?

The World Class dance school since 1987.

The World Class dance school for kids and teens. Weekly dance training at nine locations around Iceland, qualified teachers and small groups.

History of the school

Dansstúdíó World Class is a dance school in Iceland based in Reykjavík and the surrounding area, teaching from September to April every year, as well as running shorter summer courses and other courses for dance-hungry students.

Dansstúdíó World Class was formally founded by Hafdís Jónsdóttir in 1987. The school then ran as courses at World Class in Fellsmúli. Nothing changed until 2004, when World Class opened at Laugar and the school grew as a result. From 2004–2007 the school was run by Nanna Ósk Jónsdóttir. During that period the company expanded and opened World Class at Spöngin in Grafarvogur. In 2007 Stella Rósenkranz, the current head of department, took over the dance school and has run it ever since.
